Internet of Services - Technology Map

The idea of the technology map on "Internet of Services" was to provide a high level overview about current technologies and technological concepts in the field of service computing. It should show the wide range of technological aspects in diverse areas that are related to the "Internet of Services". It was created for the E12 conference, a conference for practitioners, hosted by the Institute of Electronic Business in cooperation with Thyssen Krupp.
It is by far not complete, but I will keep updating it. The main idea was to find more broader concepts and try to categorize the different technologies within these concepts.
Design Science Research Framework
Research is commonly understood as a systematic investigation with possibly problem solving and reproducible results. Therefore suitable research methods are needed to guide the investigation. The design science approach provides a suitable and comprehensive framework for the design and the analysis of artificial phenomena such as organizations or information systems. It defines the research subjects and the methods applied to the study subject in order to systematically enhance the body of knowledge.
Therefore an introduction to the design science framework is given here to provide the necessary background for research activities in the field of information systems (IS). At first a perspective on the subject respectively the desired research output of design science research is given, which includes a detailed discussion of the concept of the artifact as it is central to the design science research framework. Next the design science research process is described followed by an overview of some basic design science principles. And the end a critical discussion about the theoretical foundations and the legitimation of the design science approach is discussed.
Social Network Reference List
This is a comprehensive list of literature about social networks:

Social Networks and Information Retrieval
It becomes more and more obvious that social networks become an important source for information retrieval. In my dissertation I will follow the argument, that the net (and the definition here is a bit vague - but will hold for a second) is moving from the early net (which was about linking computers) over the web (which is about linking information) to a network of connecting people on various levels (which is being described and termed as global social graph, lately). This brings up new possibilities for information retrieval and therefore has implication on information architecture and web application design.
