Digideep Red Sea DigiJam

From July 19th till August 2nd I spent two great weeks at the Red Sea (Sharm el Sheikh, Sinai, Egypt). It was a liveaboard tour on the King Snefro 5 and 6, which has now become a regular event for the Digideep community each year. In the second week of this year's trip we even had two boats full with underwater photography geeks. We had very good conditions in both weeks allowing us to go to Sha'ab Abu Nuhas twice for extensive wreck diving and to our surprise a couple of dolphin dives and snorkel experiences.

First Curacao Impressions

I'm here in Curacao for the first time in my life and I have to say I really enjoy it. It is damn hot and sunny with some clouds from now and then.
We arrived on sunday at the evening and were welcomed from Bianca from the Curacao Tourist Board. We all were a bit dizzy from the flight and just fell into the bed almost instantly. We (Sylvie, Andi and me) are attending the Curacao Dive Festival were Andi is giving some talks and I am writing a webcast on digideep. So far we have been diving the mornings and early afternoons and then attended the various presentations about underwater photography or videography in various resorts around the island.
Leaving to Curacao

I was in Berlin for two days as I'm now leaving to Curacao with Andi and Sylvie to attend the Curacao Dive Festival, which we will feature on digideep.com. The two days were packed with meeting some friends and my mom and with preparing the trip.
Yesterday we (Sylvie, Andi + me) went to the cinema to watch "Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End". Unfortunately this was a big mistake.
We thought it would be cool to watch the film just before we leave to the caribbean, but the whole movie was just boring. I hope that our trip wont
be boring at all.
Sofia trip and a orthodoxe wedding

I've never really thought about traveling to Sofia (Bulgaria), but as I was invited from Galina & Christoph to their wedding I didn't need long to decide to go. First of all Galina is an old and very good friend of mine, second as she is from Bulgaria and is orthodox the ceremony promised to be a quite unique event (at least for an atheist like me) and third I felt that I need to get to see more of the south-east of europe. I did at no second regret that decision. Sofia is a vibrant city and the wedding was a happy celebaration with the friendly family and friends. To my surprise a lot of the german friends had the same thoughts like me in mind and took the chance to visit Sofia.
