St.Gallen Spring
Spring has arrived in St. Gallen. Everything is blooming and the streets are filled with people enjoying the sun and trinking coffee. I just wandered around a bit and tried how to get some decent images with the fisheye. Enjoy!

Sofia trip and a orthodoxe wedding

Galina & Christoph wedding
I've never really thought about traveling to Sofia (Bulgaria), but as I was invited from Galina & Christoph to their wedding I didn't need long to decide to go. First of all Galina is an old and very good friend of mine, second as she is from Bulgaria and is orthodox the ceremony promised to be a quite unique event (at least for an atheist like me) and third I felt that I need to get to see more of the south-east of europe. I did at no second regret that decision. Sofia is a vibrant city and the wedding was a happy celebaration with the friendly family and friends. To my surprise a lot of the german friends had the same thoughts like me in mind and took the chance to visit Sofia.

Short Prague Visit

Here is a short photo catch up. On my way to Sofia two weeks ago I travelled over Prague and had a stay of about nine hours. As far as I can remember I was in Prague was about 10 years ago. The city has changed so much over the recent years. It's shiny, blinky and tourists everywhere. I had only the time to walked around a bit on that beautiful sunny day to kill the time between the flights. I wish I had more time to spend. Prague is definitely worth a trip. So I think I'll go there in spring again.

Pool Sessions

Shooting in the pool is cool and makes a lot of fun ;)... In the beginning it was just a quick idea for a teaser image for the digideep SanDisk RedSea Shootout report, but it turned out to be a lot of fun shooting in the pool. I was lucky finding Sharon, who is working in the Manta Diving Centre, to be the model. She incredebly calm underwater and so the whole shooting was just fun. She also photographs with a Nikon D70 in an Ikelite housing. You can some of her work at imperfections.biz.

Another lucky incident was to attend the baby swimming. David the owner of Manta Diving has twins in the age of six month, which he regularly takes to the baby swimming and he did ask me if I want to join. So I did.. Here some of my first baby shots.

Eilat/Israel

posted on Sat, April 22nd, 2006

Yesterday we arrived in Eilat/Israel. We took a flight to Sharm/Egypt and from there a shuttle bus to Taba/Egypt. After we passed the egypt border control we had to pass the very intensive israelian one. As expected that took some more time... and after 1,5h we were in Eilat. In the ambassador hotel we were warmly welcomed from David, the owner of the manta diving centre. The manta diving centre will be the base dive centre for the upcoming red sea sandisk underwater photography competition. We will report on that event on digideep.com.
