MCM forum 2006
Every year the institute for media and communication is organizing a forum on a current topic of interest in media or communication ;-). This years topic was "web 2.0 - the next generation", with speakers from telecommunication companies, communication and public relation agencies, publishers and of course two web 2.0 companies. All in all the speakers presented interesting presentations with some insightful information and thoughts. We've got the slides [german only] and some of pictures from the event online. Unfortunately not all speakers used slides for their presenations. There are also some interviews with the speakers at rebell.tv.

I just forgot to post the pictures from the "The Break" concert. The concert was held in the PIC. It was a small concert, but the Break rocked the crowd. It was the first concert for "The Break". Laura's dad played the bass. I was quite impressed from the performance.

Now even my youngest sister is out of school age. I think I'm feeling older now. She was always the little baby in the family, but now she is a young woman and is going her own life. As always I was late for the ceremony, but managed to be there just a few moments before Anja got her diploma. She was quite proud, but a little embarrassed about her older brother taking photographs of her ;).

Partyweekend in Kaufbeuren

Laura's uncle owns a bar called Pic in Kaufbeuren, which he open 30 years ago. For this reason a big party was planned and finally held last weekend. The event started on friday with an opening party with various DJ's including Laura's dad. The beer was sold at the price from 30 years ago as a small gimmick. This wasn't the case for the music. Peter, Laura's uncle, always known for his good music taste, invited all DJ's, who worked at the Pic during the last 30 years. The result was a stylish mix of rock classics and new elctro beats.
At the end Laura's brother Joffrey startet his own beatbox session. Although the weather was warm and friendly on the evening, it started raining in the night and became very cold in the morning (at least this was the felt temperature as we went home at 7am). On saturday the tent was the place for the show of Albie Donnelly's Supercharge Band. The tent was crowded and the band did their best to entertain the people; with success. From my musical understanding they played a very nice and pleasant concert. They rocked the house and people (from young to old) danced to their groovy Jazz/Blues sounds.

A day with Laura

My girlfriend Laura has to sacrifice a lot, because I spend numerous hours in front of the computer, either working for digideep.com or the university. We rarely had time for each other the last half year. Not only that I was working very hard, she also had to do a lot for her course work at the university.
