As Torsten asked three months ago I just accidentally said yes to join in and attend the Bern Grand Prix 2007. The Bern Grand Prix is a 10 miles (16km) run through Bern city and the biggest event of its kind in Switzerland. This year more than 24,000 runner took part and ran through the beautiful city of Bern and through a enthusiastic crowd standing along the way.

So on saturday, the 12th may it was about time for my first long public run. Fortunately both of my sisters came to support me on that. It was great to have them around since I don't get to see them that often lately. The whole run was organized very well. The start number was calculated by the estimated run time each participant had to tell on registration. As my goal was about 1:30h I got number 16,131 and started in Block 16 together with Matthes.

After 1:27:49 I happily arrived the finish as number 6,559.

PS: Torsten asked what I was thinking between kilometer 10 and 13,4 ;-)? Actually I didn't think a lot at all...
