EE Video Extension

This extension allows you to add youtube and googlevideo to Expression Engine forum posts. To use it in the forum a user just needs to add:

or
[googlevideo]docid[/googlevideo]

in their post. There are two functions included. The first one is to get the code translated into the correct html object code and the second one adds some user friendly buttons to the forum post interface. Here you can see it working.

Installation Instructions

 1. Unzip the zip file in your extenstion directory.
 2. Go to Admin->Utilities->Extension Manager and "Enable Extension".
 3. Enable the Extension.

Lars, I just tried your extension in conjunction with Weblog comments. I just recently posted to a thread discussing the issues related to embedding video in comments and the forums. Sometime ago I ran across your extension and thought that I might actually have a need for it's functionality in the future.

Well, here I am. Initially, I thought all was wonderful and everything was working. Then I noticed, when refreshing my test page, that other comments using other formatting tags ('QUOTE', 'IMG', 'strong', etc), were no longer rendering.

While the video tags placed in other comments are, comments made prior with additional formatting simply render the formatting code.

I suppose my first question should be can your extension be used in conjunction with weblog comments? I don't see any reference to this functionality.

Thanks,

Michael Rubens
